This is the first game in The Legend of Zelda series (Zeruda no Densetsu in Japan) and was on a 8-bit cartridge. This game was first published in 1986 by Nintendo on the NES. Shigeru Miyamoto, the game designer, created the series. This game looks rather bland compared to today's standards but back in 1986 this game was ahead of it's time, it could even save your game data! This game had a full world to explore and once completed, Legend of Zelda featured a second quest where players could play the game again but with new dungeon layouts and the changing of dungeon, items and shops positions. The idea of gathering new items and using them to continue through the game was a success, such as battling monsters and solving puzzles. This game turned out very popular and gave the series a real boost.
